Organic Clustering
Our ideas center around clustering techniques applied to recyclable/reusable materials. The installation could be made out of reflective material such as mylar, foil, aluminium, etc. We wanted to create something that would span the entire walkway and in some parts block it, while still leaving areas to walk through.

The bottom image is my favorite. I like the way this installation & texture could begin to enclose and define smaller spaces within the bridge. Where (specifically) on the bridge do you think this should go? You might be able to fabricate this out of netting or wire mesh. Could you look more specifically into materials that would create the intended effect?
I agree that the bottom image is the most exciting in terms of creating a space, whether it is a defined destination area or a transition from one space to another. Placing at a spot that makes the most impact would be important. Also experiment with materials with respect to structural stability, transparancy, light refraction, intended use, color, price, etc.
What would you use to do this?
This is always an applicable idea for an installation, but since it's really just a tectonic exercise, it should reflect the context of the proposed installation: This is why you used chipotle menu's at chipotle...you wouldn't use chipotle menu's on the bridge (unless Chipotle gave you boxes of them for free for advertising...which may be an appropriate way to acquire a material now that I think about it...)
Also, consider the "sustainability" aspect of it: It's a very weak arguement in the case of the chipotle menus, since you simply used the menus once, for their non-intended purpose...how will you get used foil/mylar? Why use a recyclable material anyway for a temporary pavillion? (as opposed to making it permanent, using a non-recyclable material a second time, etc).
The bottom image is beautiful, and I would like to see this as an installation on the bridge. I agree that the challenge is finding the appropriate sustainable material. Perhaps this could be combined with some of the unique lighting proposals to make it even more magical?
