Picnic Area + Cornhole

A 60 ft. length of the bridge could be covered in astro turf, creating an area for laying down picnic blankets and playing cornhole.

Greatest Idea I Have Ever Seen.

This idea is awesome. There is no idea that is better.

This is the Greatest idea ever in the History of the program.

Once they've tossed each of the the cornhole bags over the side what's next?

Could you develop the layout of the space a bit more? Does the picnic area and cornhole area have to be so starkly divided? Does it have to be just cornhole, or could you leave that use up to the user to determine? Where would this be located on the bridge? On the ends, near the center or on the edges? Could the picnic area be lifted up off the ground; a sort of grassy picnic plinth, which would provide seated picnicers with views to the lake?

I'm also wondering what the previous commenters found to be the most interesting about the proposal.

This idea is still awesome!

To be honest, the most interesting idea in here is the notion of using astro-turf to create a pseudo-green space. Look more in to that. What else could happen? I can play cornhole at home, but I can't visit a space filled with fake grass, fake plants, and fake trees. Keep the cornhole by all means, but develop the space around it.

I haven't seen the space, only the pictures...

And ignoring everything else about the design or lack thereof...

but...

Is there enough headroom to play cornhole comfortably?

And also: Cornhole on a slope is a pretty unfair game.

There is enough room to play corn hole comfortably and it will not be on a slope in the area we have designated for it.

This is not a very creative idea, this seems like a waste of time to me

What about this idea do you think is a waste of time? Proposing a new environment on the bridge which provides a comfortable location for a picnic and the activities surrounding it, like playing cornhole, seems to be a viable proposal. There could be more presented in regards to materials needed to implement the idea, but that would suggest more time needed on the project, not less.

Whoever wrote this is very rude and should not be able to do the bridge project. The idea is still great. It must have taken weeks to come up with it. Whoever came up with it should get a prize.

woof, woof woof woof wooooofffffff!!!!!!!!!!!

Row dare you rake run of rmy Boomer, you rorrible rorrible man!!!

How could you think that this person is rude?  The man who made this comment is a luminary in our society and should be praised and reveered for his intelligence and outstanding kindness. How dare you question him.  Also how could anyone with a dog named boomer be rude?

i can play cornhole at any corner bar.   i would like to see something more unique done with the space...something that would draw people in as something new and different that they haven't seen before.

Cornhole? Somehow I cynically see bored kids "bombing" any boats passing below with those cornhole bags. Could get uglier...

Once they've tossed each of the the cornhole bags over the side what's next?

Cornhole rocks! Great idea! Just hope the cornhole bags don't go over.

Having played many games of cornhole, I would be concerned about the bags falling off of the bridge - some of those throws get pretty wild.
