Bright arrow signage to direct people's attention to the trolley level of the bridge. The arrow will be visible from the Settlers Landing RTA stop, Cuyahoga River, Nautica Pavillion and Old River Rd.

Great idea! Especially if it can be nice and bright! The next step would be to consider the materials and construction; keeping in mind feasibility and cost. Would you consider using some reflective surfaces on a part of the arrow so it could bounce off sunlight during the day? Also, how about having it on either side of the bridge? Since the other side is visible form the freeway, incoming downtown traffic, offices, etc. Also, the size of that arrow is really important too, and the weight, so it doesn't swing too much.

I like the color choice for the arrow because it's consistent with the PR materials. We'll probably need to use a material that is "meshy" or has holes punched in it to allow wind to blow through. I'm also concerned about the placement of something like this so close to the rapid tracks. There may be no problems with it, but there might be regulations governing placement of something like this within a certain distance of moving trains. I'd also like to see a few variations on the form of the arrow (at different scales for multiple locations/applications) and text placement. Thanks for developing the concept so far along in so short a time!

I think the arrow would work better if it's placed just to the right of the column shown in the image. This would move it off of the rapid station property and would actually be more visible from the river. It may also be more easily secured with stakes anchored in the grassy area below.
